Elbeland derby of Lovebirds

Our colleagues from the club and the organization of The Elbeland derby of Lovebirds have shared with us their impressions about this year edition.

The Elbeland derby of Lovebirds in the Czech Republic took place from 25th to 28th October 2019 in the town Lysá nad Labem in area of exhibition grounds. This is smaller show than National Exhibition of Agapornises, derby,which was a part of bigger show called Exotika 2019 organized by KPEP. Czech Agapornis Club has his own part with stall for promotion and derby where were 72 Agapornises on exhibition, 70 in sales part, in 5 species from 14 breeders.

The sales part also performed as a promotional part. Some agapornis could be bought from smaller exhibition cages called “small groves” and some from exhibition cages. The sales culture was traditionally high.

Evaluation of the exhibition from my point of view is good. However, the number of Agapornises in the exhibition part was not large.

The interest about Agapornises was really great. It was very nice that some breeders are already going for the breeding birds to club members. There is a guarantee of quality. Try to visit one of the bigger trades and compare the quality of the offered Agapornises. It is really up to everyone to make an opinion.

Winner positions

This show was open to all agapornis breeders who are interested in the quality of their breeding. Almost nobody participated in the show outside of the club CZAC.
