AVIORNIS, XIII International Wild Bird Congress

The XIII edition of AVIORNIS was held in the Gaia Biological Park in Portugal last March.

Next, we share the chronicle published in the April magazine, number 158: AVIORNIS Chronicle XIII Congress.

As you can read in the pdf document with the CHRONICLE AVIORNIS XIII Debashish Banerjee, a SunShine BirdWorld Avicultor from India was the first to give his presentation “The Magical World of the Loris, “Management protocols” where he exposed the wide variety of Loris that he maintains and breeds in his facilities. On the other hand, Xavier Viader Anfrons from Psittacus Catalonia SL. Barcelona asked the following question: “Do you provide grit to the birds of your hatchery? Why?” (We take advantage of this question and ask you the same).

Among other relevant people who attended this Congress, we can mention the technical engineer in animal production of Beja Gonçalo George, who exposed the topic “Managing a Collection of Soft Peaks” or Joao Loureiro in his presentation, CITES Authority of Portugal, who opened an interesting forum information about “The future of poultry farming in Portugal and in the world. Legislacao Associations and legislation in Portugal”.

Other names of interest such as Tony Silva, Pedro Nunes, Tiago Nabicao…
